With Jens Bursells moving hook release rigs for zander – you get a much higher landing rate compared to normal softbait rigs where often around half of all takes are lost – either because you dont hook it – or because the fish falls off the hook during the fight. When fished correctly this rig enables you to get a landing rate around 90 % – which is not possible with any other systems. The high landing rate is obtained because the hooks can move independently of the bait when striking – and this means that even in situations where the predator locks the bait rocksolid between its jaws, you can easily move the hook forward and set them perfectly. Another reason for the high landing rate on this rig is the small hooks – that penetrates easier and gets a better hookgrip in the soft tissue over the hard bones.
